Looking for a list of Hourglass Cosmetics vegan products? Logical Harmony has you covered! Hourglass Cosmetics is known for making high-quality cruelty-free cosmetics and cruelty-free skincare, and they also have a surprising amount of vegan options as well. In fact, Hourglass has announced that by 2020, Hourglass Cosmetics will be a 100% vegan brand. This is truly an amazing change to see as it shows everyone that vegan products can be high end and perform well.

It’s always great when cruelty-free brands make picking up vegan products easy. Especially when it’s brands like Hourglass Cosmetics that are sold in so many retailers. Currently, you can find Hourglass BeautylishCult Beauty, Net-a-Porter, Space NKSephora, Barney’s, and Nordstrom

Is Hourglass Cosmetics Cruelty-Free? Yes!

Hourglass Cosmetics is cruelty-free! There is no animal testing being done on Hourglass Cosmetics products at any point or on any ingredients used to make Hourglass products.

Hourglass Cosmetics is owned by Unilever. Unilever itself is not cruelty-free. I believe that everyone should decide for themselves how they feel about parent companies. At the end of the day, I would rather people purchase from a cruelty-free brand with a parent company that is not cruelty-free than purchase from a brand who tests on animals themselves. I encourage everyone who supports cruelty-free brands to let Hourglass Cosmetics and Unilever know that being cruelty-free is important to you.

Does Hourglass Cosmetics have vegan options? Yes!

Not all Hourglass Cosmetics products are vegan, but they plan to be a 100% vegan brand by the year 2020. They have been very actively working towards this.

  1. Sadly I don’t think this list is up to date. That or their use of “may contain” isn’t accurate. I was just looking at their website for vegan and the ambient lighting palette isn’t there. Lo and behold the box says may contain carmine for radiant light. So frustrating because I love it so much.

    1. It’s up to date. 🙂 What they told me is that Radiant Light is made on shared equipment with other things that do contain carmine, so while it’s not in Radiant Light it is listed under +/- for that reason. For what it’s worth, their vegan section also contains things that they have told me aren’t vegan so I’m not 100% sure how they decide on the term.

  2. You know the only thing that bothers me is…. WHY make vegan foundation, but not the concealer vegan too??? 🙁

What’s in their concealer that makes it NOT VEGAN?

  3. Prior to today, I doubted Hourglass was cruelty-free, but I was lusting after their Ambient Lighting Palette. After doing thorough research on the company, I’m glad to see that I was proved wrong, though it bums me out that they’re not certified by Leaping Bunny. I am definitely adding the palette to my Wishlist, though!

  4. Thank you soo much! Quick question how is the arch brow pencil not? I’ve seen it labelled vegan. Same with the no. 28 primer. Please can you clarify? Thank you so much

    1. Hi Ruby,

These are items that Hourglass specifically told me are vegan. I took a look at the ingredients for both, and they each contain ingredients that could be plant or animal based. Maybe those items used to vegan be but aren’t any longer? Hourglass customer service could probably clear that up for you. 🙂

  5. Perfect timing! I was at Sephora last night trying on the Too Faced Born this Way Foundation, and the girl helping me used it with the Hourglass bronzer, which I LOVED! I’d never heard of the brand so I was just about to check your list. This is excellent. Thanks!
